Each committee member is invited to share new ideas leading to the success of the SAR programs & projects offered throughout the year.

Joining a committee is a wonderful opportunity to meet, make friends and build relationships with fellow community REALTORS.

If you would like to participate in a committee, please review the criteria and send in your registration form by email or fax to the SAR Executive Offices. Please feel free to call the offices if you have any questions or need assistance.

Golf Committee

Education Committee : Conducts the New Member Orientation classes for new members. Plans and implements the annual Education Calendar. Committee Chair � Ann Buchanan, RE/MAX Elite, 615-480-1092 Committee Members

Governmental Affairs Committee : This committee focuses on political awareness $ financial support to candidates that are in support of real estate policies. Collects RPAC Funds from our REALTOR members and determine distribution if these funds to candidates who are in sympathy with the real estate industry. This committee keeps a close watch on local issues that affect our customers, clients and the real estate industry. Member Services Committee : Develops programs & benefits for our members. Promotes member participation in the Association and the community. Develops projects & raises funds to help promote the REALTOR image in the various communities we serve. Plans and implements programs to promote professionalism, networking activities and special recognition programs. Golf Task Force : This committee plans and implements the annual SAR Golf Tournament, and is responsible for annual dues control. Grievance Committee : Review Code of Ethics Complaints and Requests for Arbitration to determine if such complaints warrant a hearing by the Professional Standards Hearing Panel. A required minimum of 3 years as a REALTOR in good standing. Committee Chair � Marilyn Bristol 615-822-2003 Committee Members

Professional Standards Committee : Arbitrates disputes and conducts Professional Standards Hearings. Serves a 3 year term and is required to attend provided annual training. This committee consists of the hearing panel and the grievance committee which is a pre-requisite to being considered a candidate for a Board of Director position.
